A bit overcast and cooler here today but the rise in temperature is promised for tomorrow.

First walk out with the rollator went well. I managed up and down curbs better than I thought. I didn't walk too far (less than a mile) but I haven't walked that far in ages.

My bestie is taking me out for lunch at noon so a good laugh beckons.

I got caught on the hop this morning. I was sitting in me night attire with just an old cardie slung over when my gardener suddenly appeared around the back corner - and he had a very young helper with him!

They seemed nonplussed … so I was the same. :-D

With age comes brazenness methinks. :-D

Had a chuckle when I heard that the teachers’ Union is on about when schools should close in a heatwave - 38 degs apparently.

They may find parents disagree because when we lived in Oz you could keep kids at home when it hit 40. No one ever did so! :-D

I've had a good day !

At hospital outpatients this morning, they signed me off :-D
If I feel the need to go to the respiratory dept. again, I can self-refer without seeing a GP, but ultrasound this morning was clear, so that's good.

Because we left the hospital with very little delay, there was time to join the school for a whole school beach day, at a wide sandy beach.
It was lovely to see the children enjoying such timeless fun digging holes in the sand and waiting to find the water. Staff had set up several gazebos to help with shade.
It was quite a few degrees cooler at the beach with just a very gentle breeze, so it was very pleasant and comfortable and a welcome relief from the wild temperatures inland locally.
We all came home on the one-third size train that runs across Romney Marsh, all good fun. :-D

The beach trip sounds fabulous. Amazing how long children can play on a beach as long as they are fed ;-)
