can anyone tell me how to obtain records for bristol, around 1940 - 1945.....my grandmother was in a prison camp in hongkong and listed her brother in law A .P. C Hicks of 9 woodchester road Henleage, bristol as her next of kin....thanks brigette from australia

i dont know if you have the info as this is a old post but a lot of the records were lost in the war including my grandfathers Herbert hicks so i have been told to try somerset house
