Hi, I am trying to search my Irish ancestors and have come across the the place called Brandane. It's somewhere in County Wexford but I can't find it on any map. Can anyone give me an exact location please?

I think its the gaelic name for the township.......... having googled it it's in the parish of BANNOW - wonder if this helps or complicates it all further?

Hi, Brandane, Bannow is in the New Ross area of Wexford not far from Waterford. Hope that helps you. C x

If it's a small hamlet of 200 acres ( in your ancestors days) chances are its been swallowed up into a near by village on a modern day map.......
