Does anyone know the name of any newspapers in or near the Halstead Essex area in 1860, the would have employed a PRINT COMPOSITOR, my ancestor George Lewis Wiffin was employed as one but we can't find out where, he maintained the same occupation in Chlemsford and latterly West Ham. |

isnt that the person that would have assembled all the lead type, in frames ready for printing?or at least the machine minder that looked after the type making machine? Bob |
