Evening all. I've decided that I HATE ironing!!!! Yvette....good luck with your proceedure tomorrow. Mary....what you do is pack half the stuff you think you need and throw out the rest. You'll still end up with more than you need...lol Laurie....what a wonderful way to propose marriage to someone. That young man seems very thoughtful and romantic....aaahhhh...love :-) Hi Ducky, Joodles and everyone else...have a good night's sleep and I'll see you tomorrow. love Trifley X

Good morning all . . . I woke at 6.30 to find the lovely Ray, donning tie, ready to step out the door, (I checked - the beds not wet, teehee) said he had a good night sleep and was up so thought he would just get going. He even packed his own lunch !! So I have a lazy start to the day. Thinking of you today Yvette, you will just be on the drinking water about now, just pretend its something you like! Oh Great Trifley one, you sure you dont want to do my ironing for me ?? I hate it so much I would love to pay someone to do it for me, but couldn't live with the guilt - never did a single bit of ironing while I was working, but can't find a justifiable excuse - other thatn I hate it! I just thought, I could always say I was helping out the National unemployment figures - doing it for my country !! (will give that angle a lot of thought) Mary, your packing and going through everything isn't a chore love, its an adventure. As your going through everything, you are going to relive lots of memories, so enjoy! As suggested before, do one room at a time - completely, so you dont have to go back to it. 4 piles, packed to go with you, giveaways, garage sale and garbage bin! Keep a note book with you to jot down things so you can jog your memory later, your going to be overloading it! Most of all keep a supply of treats to make your breaks for a cuppa enjoyable. Have you taken lots of pickles of your home before you dismantle it ??? Remember, what the reward at the end is !!! A lovely new home, a new adventure! The sun is just starting to come out - so off to sit and soak for a while with a cuppa and toasted muffin Have a great day all - cheers luv Laurie

Good morning Complaints Department. Got 3 hot matches. 1) I'm positive we are related, girl is not so sure, has gone off to check censuses, and hasnt sent me her email address for me to send tree .. grrrrrr 2) This guy has msgd me 3 times and says 'I answered you and I can't understand why you dont have it' - but failed to tell me what was in the missing msg .. grrrrrrr 3) No response .. grrrrr On a lighter note, a friend sent me this site, very similar to Ancestry, and is supposed to be better (NOT FREE however) Another pay to view besides Anc.com British Origins Choose plan British Origins is the richest source of British genealogy online, featuring marriage, census, wills, and many more authentic record collections, most not available anywhere else in digital form. Plus a Library of rare and unique material, including a comprehensive England and Wales Gazetteer. Records include exclusive access to Society of Genealogists' records. http://www*origins*net/ No. 1 hot match has just msgd again (she manages one msg a day) - and has said I can see her tree. Hmmm - off I go - dont have a clue where to look! Believe it or not, I am still a happy little vegemite, and am off to have a nice hot shower - back later. Jood

Laurie Report 2 Jul 2006 22:30

Joodles, just click on shared trees and you will see her name there along with anyone else who has given you access to their trees (I'm there too) luv Lol

Judy

Judy Report 2 Jul 2006 22:49

Thanks, is there any way you can print their tree off? Jood

Laurie

Laurie Report 2 Jul 2006 22:54

Hiya Joodles, how you going ?? I printed off on the old tree program ages ago, but that has since been deleted I believe, not sure on new prog - never tried it . . . Does the match look promising then ?? luv Laurie

Yes, its on Mum's side. Definitely related. I have much more than her on the ascendant side though. I have to convince her we are related. Given that two family members were mentioned in my ggf's will - she should be convinced eventually (an Essex girl, only 34). I noticed a Hull in there (Tony) - but nothing to do with my part of the family. Going to try and print, though I cant see anything to assist me. Jood Jood

Jood, I have used British Origins in the past, paid for a month and didn't get much out of it at all - guess it is just the luck of the draw . . . Some County's are better covered than others and what I was looking for wasn't there! When I printed out trees off the old program, it took up a lot of paper - so good luck ! I take it she isn't eager to send you a gen report via email ?? even if you can get her to send you a pm on GR - you can copy & paste that then print it out! Good luck girl . . . what sort of a week have you got planned ??? luv Laurie

We are making contact now, she has sent her email address and I've just forwarded my whole chart. Gave her my email address and hoping she will do likewise. Very very quiet week - nothing on Mon-Thu - most unusual for me. Going on bus tour at weekend to Wollombi, should be good fun. Jood

Good Morning Wattlers and didn't you all live up to the waffling reputation, lol. Jood, slept until about 8.15 am, but I think I'm coming down with a cold, all achie and just feel a bit off. I think I must have hit the wall. You know, you just keep on pushing and then when you stop, whamo! Anyway, I've had a huge glass of orange juice and am about to have a cup of tea. Got a couple of photos of us cutting a retirement cake, Jood, so I'll now get my bum into gear and send some pickles of that, the house and the BrisVegas meet. Poor Fanny, hope your little op goes well. I'm thinking of you. Don't know if I told you, but I won't be able to make it to the Sydney Meet, blast and damnations! Terry had booked at week in Bright, so he can go skiing and I can visit my Aunt. She is very unwell. Has bad diabetes and also has to go to Wangaratta 3 times a week for dialysis, so I better go and visit her and the cousins. Anyone heard from Lara? Loved the story about the proposal, Laurie. Nice to see that romance is alive and well. Hey SuzyQ, Anna, Rebs, Trifley and Pam. How's the Qld weather today. Bet it's warmer than it is here! Sun's out, but still very chilly. Hi to all those I haven't mentioned ~~~waves to all~~~ Lew Lew xxx

So I will add my damn and blast that you can't come with us on that day :-( ... Mary, Laurie & JA will be meeting again sometime somewhere - will let you know. I already have you in my MSN list - just download the program, and add me to YOUR list. .. I did send you an invite ages ago, but you never took it up. Looking forward to the pickles. Jood

Morning Wattlers, Lew Lew glad your party went off so well, did you know some naughty ones were going to gatecrash, but they couldn't find their wellies, lol Trifley, I was going to offer to help you with the ironing but I see you've done it, what a shame I miss out, not. did you manage to save your fish are they okay? Pam good bling, We used buy our hay from Kalbar do you know the Moore family. I joined Irish Origins when I first started FHing but I can't say they were that good but they may have added more databases by now, try cindi's list for more Irish sites, at my local FHC they have BMD indexes for Ireland next time I go I can do look ups for you if you want. Just had a phone call from a friend and I think we have chatted for about an hour so consequently I have forgotten some of the things I was going to say, will have another read and be back later luv Jillx
