Jood, I had an Epson before I got the Dell. (freebie thrown in with new computer) Epson was good and the ink cartridges are reasonable. Even more reasonable if you get refilled ones once the warranty has run out. :) Get a printer/ scanner as well, unless you have a scanner already?? Vonny. Having an early night, so I'll go and get tea (can of creamed corn!) and veg in front of telly or read or something :) ~~~~~~~~~Vonny |

Hi Joodles Mark has a Canon IP 6000. It's more of a pickles type of printer. He can put the memory card from the camera in and print the pickles without the computer. TX |

I hear you all. I dont usually print photos from the printer Trifley - all my pics are on my computers, but if I did want one photo printed, I'd just put the pic on my memory card and take it to one of the do it yourself places. I do have a scanner. .. I couldn't justify spending too much money on a scanner-fax-printer - tho it would be nice - I have no idea how much these are either. Every time I get those brochures in the mail, I toss them out - so a bit out of touch with prices. Jood |

Jood, we have a Canon ink jet. Cartridges are very reasonable compared to some of the others, but when K is at uni we often go through a black catridge a week. Pain in the bum to have to continually get them refilled. We're looking at getting a lazer printer, but with birthday season coming up overlapped with Christmas it may have to wait until the new year. Unless K would like a new printer for her 18th??? Best bet is to go to a reliable dealer and have them show you what available. Go to a couple of places and see how they compare notes. |

Good afternoon/evening Wattlers. Joodles we have a Brother multi function centre - and its great I only have to have it and the lappy on the desk these days. Marie got one the same as ours too - they have improved out of sight and the prices have dropped too - which is great! Today we ended up going over to Sunda Kelapa, the dock area for the Bugois Schooners, such an amazing place . . . no giraffes there - the loading and unloading of cago is all done the oldfashioned way - manual labour - and they still use giant slabs of wood as gangplanks to carry their loads on and off. Mostly the beautiful old schooners are used for inter island trade, today they were unloading timber from Borneo, and loading cement to take out to the islands. I can sit and watch them for ages (and I did). I would love to see one of them in full sail at sea - I told Ray if he still wanted to live on a boat - I would on one of them (done up of course) or an old peal lugger!!! I will send you all off some pickles so you can see why I am so drawn to them. Sunda Kelapa has been the dock area for the Island Traders since 1527 - amazing isn't it! We did a little of the retail therapy stuff - but once I got the idea I wanted to go back to the schooners that was it! We hope that we dont get a phone call this afternoon, and that we are able to stay in and have an early night. I had to talk fast this morning to get out of a birthday party for a friends two little girls Whitney 6 & Britney 3 . . . was being held in the ballroom of the Hilton, so I imagine it was a grand old affair, but I have my JoJo for the afternoon tomorrow to take him out on a kiddie arvo, so didn't fancy the whole kiddie day today too. (must be getting old) Anyway will hop off and send some pickles - be good and catch you later . . cheers luv Laurie |

Back again before I turn in . . . Yes Oh Great Trifle One, it does take them a long time to unload the ships - but at least they have a job - an honest days work for their pay! They are so clever the way they run up and down the gang plank with their loads. Singing all the while ! I am in awe of them, and envy how simple a hard life can be. But your right . . . an O H & S nightmare !! You watch what bright ideas you come up with there Trifley, Calendar Girls ??? so as not to be sexest - Tony can have my month on the calendar - I'll go in for the marketing side of things !!!! I have had plenty of mail tooing and frooing with my Bishop cousin, hereafter referred to as 'Sonny' He wants to help me put our family history together, he says he's amazed at what I have done and would like to help me develop it further. He grew up two doors down from our grandparents and is a lot older than me so knows more stories than I do. In fact he knew our gtgrandparents, and I never even knew grandma as she died when I was a few months old. I have also had contact with two other rellies, one in England, and another on the Gold Coast - both off GR, the one in England is really spine tingling stuff - I am the first contact she has had with anyone on her birth family tree . . . so I am really on a high. Well folks, its 2.14am over there - and 11.14pm here - so I am off to get some beautysleep. Catch you all tomorrow cheers luv Laurie |

Morning All and thank you for your birthday greetings. Terry has just presented me with a beautiful pair of citrine earrings. Photo to follow. Nothing much planned for today, just going to take it easy and play on the computer. Overcast in Mudgee and looks like we'll be getting some more rain, hooray! Laurie, loved the photos. Our wharfies have got nothing to complain about, lol. Yeah right, Trifley, a calendar! Only if I can have a body double, lol. PMSL, Jood, thanks for the card. You crazy girl! Thanks for the Birthday Greetings Cat. Off to get some brekky Lew Lew xxx |

Good morning all And especially to our birthday girl Miss Mudgee. Have a great day. The earrings are just gorgeous Lew - Terry has perfect taste. You could have sent a picture of you wearing them though! Chris got called in to work today - ha, ha, ha! And it's Katherine's last day of holidays - she's back to school tomorrow. I meant to tell you SuzyQ - she was blown away by her birthday present! She scanned the photos and is emailing them to all her friends. Poor Flutters - you still have a week's holiday to go! As a past teacher, teachers need those holidays sooo much - it takes 2 weeks to regain our sanity! Hope you enjoy Pirates - it would scare the proverbial out of me if I were a little kid! Well - quiet day for me catching up on washing and ironing after our trips away - has been wet so haven't had suitable weather to be doing laundry. Congratulations Tony on your expected grandson - perhaps you could aim for a footy team! Laurie - very exciting about your progress with Family HIstory. Sounds like interesting times ahead for you catching up with anecdotes about your granparents etc. Trifley - if we're doing a calendar, we could do a 'period piece' modelling fashions from yesteryear and I bags wearing granny's nightdress - it covers a multitude of flaws! Waves to all ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luv Anna |
