Good Morning Wattlers. Sunny in Mudgee, but a nasty cold wind has sprung up. Trifley, hope you had a good night's sleep and Watty didn't take up too much bed space. Laurie, that's an awful thing to happen to your friend. Healing thoughts are on the way. Be brave! Going to our favourite Lebanese restaurant for lunch with brother Martyn today. yum. He'll then head back to Sydney after lunch, so it looks like an afternoon on the lounge with my book. Oh well, someone has to do it! heeeee Hi to all and I'll catch up later. Lew Lew xxx

Morning all So happy to hear Trifley is okay and has spoken to Anna and been told the gos. She was on my mind constantly yesterday. Trifley did you sleep tight. Hope you are feeling a little more 'human' this morning. Congrats to you Lara. Good to see. You deserve it. SuzyQ, my little 3 wheeler is not really hard to manouvre - just have to remember to stay on even ground as they are likely to tip over. But they are great to zip around the place. I don't think you have a weird sense of humour Suzy, just a sick one. hehe Shazz, thats why I need 2 baskets. To hold all the supplies. Anna, quite a few peeps have these bikes on Bribie. The island is so flat so it is easy for us oldies to ride around. Keeps us out of cars and others safe on the roads. lol Beside the cost of petrol is getting a bit steep. Also my daily exercise program - riding along the waterfront (the bike track goes right along the water's edge) watching the dolphins, pelicans, dugong, etc. Very relaxing and doesn't seem like exercise. Tony, thank you for your words of wisdom yesterday. Very appropriate. And the singing is bootiful. Laurie, hope your friend is okay. Denny and her Mum and Dad need your support and you have ours. Hi to all who are up and about. Going out soon. I have nearly 500 houses to deliver census papers to, starting next Fri. I am going to go for a ride and check out my area. Now this will keep me off the streets for a few weeks. Have a good day eveyone Pam

Highlight might be getting the dogs tablets from the vet. ho hum. rather be scoffing Lebanese. This 3 wheeler sounds great! When I bought my last bike a couple of years ago, i nearly got a big tricycle, but my kids would have been using it all of the time. i have to lock my other on up as it is to stop them from trashing it.... bla bla bla. I'm off, have to get out of the jim jams and into a little action. Suzi? love Yvette xxx

Good morning, good morning lovely day in Melb today. Trifley hope you got a good nights sleep and rejoin us here soon (((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) (gentle ones) to you, Graham and Mark.Make sure Watty doesn't hog the bed. Laurie lot of (((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) to you & Ray, such sad news about your dear friend, hope your news is better today. Lew you getting the hang of this retirement lark then? lazing around reading books, sipping chilled white wine and knocking back the cheese and biccies what a life - lol! Tony thank you for the lotto mail. Loved your sentencing of the cat - pmsl - you were in fine form. Collected the new kitchen for the cottage yesterday so guess what we will be doing this weekend - we're putting together a kitchen jigsaw - it comes in modular units (thank goodness it wasn't a flat pack) so I can see the next couple of days being a mite stressful as well as fun -comforting thought is that it can only go together one way (eventually -lol). Its good to have you back with us Lara - we missed you, roll on Tuesday when that nice telstra man will come visiting and connect you to us again. Heard from eld. son last night - he was sitting on the banks of the seine, near Notre Dame, eating a baguette, sipping chablis and re-acquainting himself with Paris - gee life's tough -pmsl. He also informed us he is coming home a week early to move out of his apartment and wait for it! ---------- back in with us. I don't remember giving him the name of boomerang but I think its his middle name. 'But its only for 6 months Mum' - hmmmm next time we are changing the locks! no really it will be okay he is no trouble and even cooks one night a week, but have decided its the last time think its time to downsize so there will be no room at the inn - lol. Well have a wonderful weekend everyone what ever you are up to. Good luck to all of us for lotto tonight fingers XXXX. Got to go and do some work - hot choccie is now all drunk, don't have an excuse its back to it. MIght catch you all before I finish at 12.00. jude 3

Hellooooooo, I'm baaaaaaaaack Didn't get too far on my bike. Bl****y rain. Not complaining about the rain, just the timing. Could have kept away for an hour or two and then really pelted down instread of the little bit of drizzle we are getting - just enough to wet you, but not enough to wet anything much else. Arrrgghhhhhhh Yes Tony, census night is on Tues 8th August. Advertising campaign begins this Tues (I think). Princess DIY, my 30 yr old son came home for 6 months also. That was over 18 months ago. lol Rain stopped, might have another go. Pam

Hi Ducky I'm sooo jealous - riding around the foreshores on your bike sounds divine! Send me some rain - it's just overcast and bleak here. We have the big vote on our Water Futures issue next week - whether the local council goes for recycled water (for which we will get 3million subsidy from the Commonwealth Govt as it's an innovative approach to solving the water shortage) - or not. A lot of emotion about it as people are saying we will be drinking poo etc etc. I'm voting yes - we have to think outside the square and look to a future when there will be lower rainfall. One of our local developers who is a multimillionaire has put all his resources towards the no vote and that is influencing a lot of people. It will be interesting to see what happens. Whatever happens - we still won't have water in the forseeable future. Anyhow - enough raving from me. Looks like a good day to read, waffle and maybe watch a video! Love Anna PS Lew - I've just read Patricia Cornwall's Predator - quite nasty - dark even.

Jude3 sorry I missed you yesterday but we had our 6month BBQ in the factory so I was busy being social with our 60 guys. Its supposed to be for lunch starting at 1 but I finally called cabs for the straglers at 7. I didnt get back to shut down the puta til then and you had gone. Flakey

Good Morning all - thanks for thinking of Denny for me, how cruel is fate sometimes - she was off to the club to celebrate her 54th birthday !! Poor love has massive head injuries, and has already been to surgery twice. Den is a dedicated nurse, never wanted to be or do anything else. Oni left at about 7am, and I sent Ray back to bed for a bit more sleep - he has been flat out since we got home from Jakarta - and is pooped. As soon as he is up we will head out to See Nancy & Bill, they sat with Denny all night and are both trying to get some sleep themselves right now while Den's sister sits with her. Only immediate family are permitted in to the intensive care unit. Lara has been flat out smsing me this morning - wanting to find out how The Queen is, said she's exhausted from sending positive thoughts and love !! . . . she sends lots of love to everyone and can't wait to get the darn phone all connected and get back on here proper! So glad to hear the the Queen was out for coffee when you rang Jill - a girl has to take care of the caffine intake!! (((Trifley))) Pam, I hope you are egging everyone on to tick yes to question 60 . . . . we dont want that census info to be destroyed !!! We are having trubs getting boys organised for eldests 30th birthday next weekend - so instead of us going up there we are bringing him down here for a couple of days. He has taken two weeks off to get ready for the Rocky Triathlon - so hopefully he will benefit from a couple of days break from training. Be lovely to have him here - dont want them to live with me (no thanks Jude & Pam heehee), but visits are always nice. Well Ray is up - so we will head out to the hospital, talk to you all later in the day cheers luv Laurie

Anna, would love to send some rain, but we are only getting a bit of drizzle, just enough to stop me going out. We have seen about Toowoombas water debate on tv here. Don't know how I would react to drinking treated sewage water - ok for everything else. Would rather drink tank water I think. Here on Bribie, we have bore water - treated of course but I can't stand the taste of it. Laurie, I asked my supervisor if I was allowed to encourage people to tick that box. He said ok and I thought great !!!!! Hope I can convice people to do it who might not have really thought about it before. Would have been nice if you could have come up to Bribie to see your son for his birthday, could have met up with you. Not to worry, next time Still drizzling slightly Pam

Hi again, Still freezy cold here in the mountains - not a sign of the sun, just whitish clouds covering the blue sky. .. Not a good day for washing either, I had to carry everything back inside, spin dry it and then put it through the dryer. ..Seems like double the work. .. So no more washing today. .. I was getting soo confused with my family in the 1850's - some moving away at an early age, some carking it - that I decided to put it all on Excel for every census year, leaving a blank for the ones who werent there, so I could chase them back. .. It did pay off, because I discovered 3 boys away at a High School. One poor old dear came back home at 52 - an imbecile. . . I wonder if that amounts to dementia or something worse? ..(At least I found out her married name and who she married!!!!) .. It makes it easier for me to chase up the blanks now. .. Its so hard to find the females when they leave home as its anyones guess who they marry. Well - it's a good way to spend a cold morning isn't it? lol Jood

Afternoon Wattlers and a beautiful afternoon it is. I have returned from a wonderful lunch with Terry and brother Martyn and have just had a 25 minute conversation with Trifles! She sounds great, but is in desperate need of a martoonie. Mark is going to visit her tonight to try and set up her laptop and she is hoping he smuggles a in hip flask, lol. She received our flowers which are just yellow everythings - lillies, daffies, etc., but no wattle, 'cause a lot of people are allergic to it. The surgeon has removed a couple of lymph nodes from under her arm and also some muscle from the sternum (ouch!). Watty is doing well and has also recovered from being in surgery. One of the first things she said to Graeme was 'Where is Watty? He is here?' Graeme had to reassure her that he had Watty and there wasn't a problem. Jood, Patricia Cornwell is one of my favourites! Well, the lounge awaits me with a glass of Tempranillo, some olive fetta and my book. Chat soon Lew Lew PS. Working on Terry to delay trip to Bright, Vic, so we can come to Sydney Meet! Will let you know the outcome
