If anyone has folk from Aberkenfig, Bridgend, or Newport, some of my ancestors are from there, still there today (the Roberts').

where in Llanishen did you live Cariad? I lived in a cottage on Thornhill Road - up above the crematorium - my great aunt and uncle lived in the church house - Gt Uncle Harry tended the churchyard and gt aunt Gladys tended the church interior - mum and her siblings all went to school in what is now a nursery I think next to the church house - Mum was born in another cottage on Thornhill - Rose Cottage - we lived higher up in Baytree Cottage

Hi Ron, I also lived in Llanishen for a time, but originally from Llanelli. I have no links with Oz though.

Greetrings from South Australia.
My welsh pen pal was from Wales, Cardiff. Llanishen actually.
We have been married for 32 years so you cant have her back there; she is the light of my life.

Happy New Year to you all in Wales and Welsh born. We went to the UK in May 2006. I, aussie born and bred, found the island far too small - was glad to get back home and so was the wife more so than me!!!!

Nothing like our Great Down Under!
