Cystitis.....any good cures?

Caz.. the Cranberry juice is a good preventative as it inhibits E-coli a bacteria often the cause of Cystitis. The best to buy is juice with more than 50% fruit in ..so not from concentrate which is often too diluted.

Cranberry juice aso helps prevent tooth decay and stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter Pylori. So might be good for Graeme to drink regularly too :))

when u do water sample.......they test it and grow the bacteria then see which antibiotics suit it.
ive had it 5 times in kidneys since xmas.....ouch

Thanks Sue and Susi. I was on anbiotics for most of the time from 19 to late 20s.I tried cystopurin which helped if caught early,

Shops are shut now but will get it tommorow. I always used to drink loads of water to stave off an attack. It did go to my kidneys twice and I had some investigations.

Ive heard stress can start it, have had a bad week with my lass so maybe thats it. Dont feel like work lol!

You can get some pills from the doctors.

I had it when I was on holiday in Rhodes and I didnt know where the loos were awful isnt it !!!!!!!!

if your getting it often id check with doc.[asap]
does it ever go into your kidneys???

plenty of fluid is a must...boiled water is goodxxx

My daughter suffers with this sometimes, she swears by bicarbonate of soda mixed with water a couple of times a day.
