This is my Hubby's other "convict" G G Grandfather :-) This is what we have on him so far...... He was convicted for murdering his wife in 1856 at the Central Criminal Court London. He had 4 children...Jane, Louisa, Harriet and Elizabeth. They were placed in Stephenson's Female Orphan Home, Park House, Kennington Park. Harriet was born in Bethnall Green, London in 1853. She eventually came to Australia and married William Langridge in 1878. Thomas was released in 1861 from Fremantle Prison and married Mary Pearse and had more children. We can't find any record of the name of Thomas' 1st wife. I think I have found the birth record for Harriet so I am going to apply for that and it should tell us her Mothers name. I really would love to find the transcript of his court case. We have found a bit of info on The Foresters Heritage Trust site. Does anyone have any other info that might help please ? Or does anyone know if or where I can access records from the Orphan Home ? Any help would be appreciated !!! Thanks.....Lynn
