Name change by deed poll

I and others on GR have searched for the marriage before, with no luck. (Percival Aldridge to Florence Wright or Florence Hassall)

That is what I am assuming, but the 'husband's name' was taken, I have it on legal documents, so the only other explanation I can think of is a name change by deed poll.

Maybe they never married?...not unusual....

Have you checked the FULL Marriage index on Ancestry? or findmypast?

About 1945.
Can't find a marriage, so thought maybe there was just a name change???
