I am trying to find any Fenwicks related to my Gt.Gr.Fth. He was born in England around 1846. He married Emma ? (c1852) in N.Z. in abt 1868. They had 10 children between abt 1873 and 1891. William, Ernest, Verner, Daisy, Sydney, Charles, Ethol, George, Victor, and Bert. It is possible that some of these children were born in N.Z. before the family emigrated to Australia. My Gr.Fth, Charles Albert was born at Portland Estate, Sth Aust. in 1883.
William Edward and Charles Albert both died in Melbourne when my father, Charles Albert Norman was about 4 1/2 years old. There was very little, if any contact with the remaining family members from that point on.
Now that I have Gr.Children of my own, I would dearly love to be able to at least trace any remaining family members whom I also have not met. Regards, Roger Fenwick.

Can I please ask where did you get the list of their childrens names ?
I can see why you are unsure of Emma's surname.
Found your grandfathers birth 1st March 1881, Portland Estate, S.A. with mother listed as Emma HUNTER ! !
All other connections to the names you have given is with an Emma WILSON ! ! !

pm from Roger...
To answer your first question; I have the death certs. of both William and Emma, and they both list all the childrens names, but only on Emma's does it show their ages at the time of her death. I also have a copy of my Gr.Fth's birth cert., which is why I was, and am still confused where the Hunter name came up. On Emma's death cert. it is clearly typed; Fathers christian name unknown, surname Wilson : Mother's christian and maiden names unknown; surname Wilson. Occupation unknown. It also lists Emma's place of birth: At sea - off Sydney Heads, New South Wales. 49 years in Victoria. Unknown period in New South Wales. Unknown period in South Australia. Married in New Zealand. Age 19 years. William was aged 22 years.
On my Gr.Fth's dth.cert from 1927, it says that he had lived in Sth.Aust. for 4 years in Sth.Aust. and remaining 40 years in Victoria. Assuming this, then it is "Possible" that George, Victor, and Bert were born in Victoria.
