How can I find out who was the first Fugger tocome to or be born in the UK.....I'm guessing that this must have been in the 15th or 16th century and they must have been involved in trade or finance

Sam, I googled it - it seems they were wealthy Bavarian financiers.

Julie, perhaps if you google this name you will find what you are looking for because there is quite a bit of info on them.

They were a banking dynasty who made their money in mining and branched into banking.......they financed many heads of staes and popes.....fell out of favour after dealing with the Medicci families.
