I am tryimg to find some imformation on William Slocombe born 1885 in the St. Phillips area of Bristol. He married Mary Ann Angle in 1903. He had a son Robert James Slocombe, on 17/01/1905. After then is a mystery to me. Mary Ann went on to marry William Preddy. On Robert's birth cert. William is a labourer in a chocolate factory and lives at 85 Days Road, Barton Hill, Bristol.

William Slocombe and wife Mary appear together in the 1911 census in Bristol - you would need to purchase credits to look at this record.

No death showing between 1911 and 1915 - it may not be transcribed yet! or William Slocombe may have abandoned the family or William and Mary may have divorced.

Possibly the best thing to do would be to order the marriage certificate for Mary Slocombe and William Preddy as this should tell you her status i.e. Widowed etc.
