John was bonr in 1866 and I have Louisa being born in 1884 - so i guess they would have married somewhere between 1900-1905. Due to the age gap this might not have been His first marriage! Any help gratefully received

	you'd better get the birth certificate for one of the children. That will give you Louisa's maiden name. If that doesn't match the one that Moody Blue found, you could try searching for a marriage under the name that is on the birth certificate there could be a mis-transcription. sylvia

Member Since: July 2005 Posts: 1 Send Message	Hello, I have not been able to find the marriage either , but I have the transcribed page of 1911 census which states that they (George (middle name?) born Poplar and Louisa also born Poplar ) had then been married 6 years and that he was at the time of the census aged 44 and Louisa aged 27. Also that Peter Backer, (i think this must be John P Backer) was living with them, his age is shown as 72 and was a widower. Hope this helps, Thelma
