Leitrim connections wanted!! My paternal grandparents c1885 William McNabola and Annie McNama's parents settled in Edinburgh. I don't know whether they themselves were born in Scotland or whether they emigrated from Eire. I am trying to trace their ancestors who I know come from around Annanghselherny, Kiltoghert, Leitrim, and emigrated to Scotland. I can go back to Francis McNabola born c1850 married to Catherine Butler, and Hugh McNama born c1850 married to Bridget McTernan, and I have photos of my father, (born in Edinburgh, 1909) in his mid-teens, on holiday with his cousin Michael. He was on a pony, so they possibly lived on a farm. He may have been a McNabola, McNama or a Butler or McTernan. I would love to know who their Parents and Siblings were. Any help would be appreciated |
