Trying to find Southcombe

My 3 x gt. grandmother was Matilda Townsend Southcombe baptised 27.10.1819 at Stepney St. Mary Whitechapel. Her sister Caroline Townsend Southcombe was baptised the same time. Their mother was Elizabeth Southcombe. No father mentioned. However, on her marriage to my 3 x gt. grandfather William Slocombe in Plymouth Devon on 8.11.1841 she gives her father as George Southcombe a farmer. Pre-1841 I have no information regarding Matilda. From various census returns, she appears most of the time to be living on independent means. If anyone has any connection I would love to hear from you. Thanks Linda Howard |
