Trying to find Blanchard

I am trying to find my maternal grandmother Esta (Ester?) Rita Chiappini (married name Carrick). She is probably not alive now, but I would like to know her story. Her son and daughter (my mother) were brought from Italy by their English father when they were very small, leaving my grandmother behind. My grandmother had no contact with them. She later came to England after the war and attempted to contact her children which proved fruitless. She worked in a hotel in Park Lane and is then believed to have gone to Scotland. We know nothing more about her and have not been successful in our searches. I would very much appreciate any information on her. Thank you.
