I am looking for any details on Richard Walker from Wakefield/Dewsbury and Thomas Ellis from Norfold. Both born late 1700ish. Thanks Gail

Hi, There is no national index for the 1851 census so you would stand more chance of a response if you specify which county. Not all counties have indexed the 1851 - it's a bit hit or miss. Gwynne

Hi There are quite a few Thomas Ellis born in Norfolk in the late 1700s. It would help if you knew a bit more about the one you are looking for, trade etc. I have listed a few but not their families, if you have any more clues I will have another look. Thankyou everyone. All I know is that Thomas Ellis was a clothier by trade. He had at least one son called Edward who was born in Lakenham Norfolk. Edward later moved to Wakefield where he got married in 1942.
