I would be failing as 'leader' of this thread if I didn't say on here how much we are going to miss our lovely friend BC. She has not been up to writing much in the past few months but I have been thinking back to her 'frolicking nuns' as she called them and all the other lovely stories she wrote for us, some that had me crying with laughter. I always loved the little biographical tales when she re-lived her life in Ireland as well. And I am so pleased that she managed to fulfil her ambition of staying in a large villa in Italy.

So BC farewell you will not be forgotten by your writing friends as well as the many other friends on GR. I shall raise a glass to you this evening, sorry it won't be Baileys but G&T but I know you would forgive that. Rest in peace lovely lady and if you have a mind and are able, please send us a few inspirations. <3 <3 <3

It has been too hot to write this week folks and with OH having a birthday so a day out I haven't really had time either so I am lagging behind a bit. sorry I will catch up I hope. :-D :-D :-D

We went to inter ashes today and then had lunch out. My mother's cousin died in April and her husband died a few years back so there was a few of the family that went and stood bravely in the cold wind.. good thing we weren't scattering them.

We all put poppies in the hole as well, they were both in the forces, met overseas in Fiji during the war. It was how my parents met as well only my mother had returned and dad was a Sergeant Cook in the Officer's mess here and she had to do waiting on the tables. It was always a laugh when my children were little that their Nana was a batman.

No perse, didn't see any more from her.

If you are confused with mine I can send out the whole version. We are away until Sunday now at Gt Grandsons first birthday party but could do it when I come back. :-)

I have to catch up with a bit of the reading. and need to put Rosie's together and offer her some praise or constructive criticism.. I was waiting to see how it was fairing a bit more.. so will look at that... I did get a little confused with GlossieAnn's and then thought I better go over hers again and then lo and behold we got an updated version.

I will see if I can add another reader to the group.. I am passing Rosie's on to her with Rosie's approval of course.

Lol since you stopped receiving pieces Emma both Rose and I have continues our sagas. Rose with the Snow Globe and me with Taking a chance. Just sent out the third piece since I took you off.

I agree it's a shame Ann that the writers have dried up due
to writers block and other circumstances, but this does happen
and it is difficult to keep going with just one writer sending out
his work.
Maybe come the Autumn this will pick up and new writers and readers
will join, I hope so as when in full swing it is very enjoyable.

For those few stalwarts who are left with us, I have sent out another chapter. Sent it out early as I am away tomorrow for the weekend. Mau have you dredged anything up yet?

What we could do with is a bit more interest, maybe somebody new to read and comment for us. Such a shame that our numbers have dwindled so much this year.

I still do a holiday diary on my IPad but have never kep up ordinary diaries, I think I did one year and have that somewhere.
