Ann, I have the tonic die storage folder double sided magnetic holders that slip inside an envelope and click on a ring binder I bought an extra set of inserts and have just bought a second tonic folder set....plenty of storage and neatly put away, search Tonic storage and you will see what they are like..... my embossing folders are in a see through shoe box that fits in the same drawer as the two folders, I did buy a large amount of 8x8 embossing folders, so I have loads and still all my cuttlebug ones...
the cheapest Tonic die storage was £ 13, 50.....extra inserts about £5.50 if you should need them as the magnetic sheets are double sided you can put dies on both sides, so they hold quite a lot....

glad to hear you are feeling better hope T is soon on the mend....

Love Jean xx

Ooh Winifred, I never think it can be bitterly cold in Cyprus. Is that your normal weather for the time of year?

Winifred Report 15 Jan 2015 11:10

Happy New Year everyone....bit late sorry but thought I'd pop in to see what you were all up to. Just started back at craft group this week so feel that normality is back again. It's bitterly cold here so we were crafting in hats and scarves!!! Keep warm everyone xx

Sorry to hear you've not been well Ann, hope you and yours soon feel better.
OH and I had the cold over New Year leaving us with coughs and an attack of the 'druthers' (I'druther not do anything!) but I have done the same as you and sorted out the old cards. I've also started making some Christmas cards ready for next year. I did this last year and it was really good to open the Christmas box in October and find I had a head start. I bought a new die of a little deer looking up into the sky so I am making some simple cards of him standing on snowy ground, with a dark blue background and a star.

Jean I really haven't been too well this past 12 days, had an awful cough (still got that) and a head cold that wasn't too bad but felt so weak all the time. I caught it from Lynda and we both sat around all the time doing nothing when we were up there. (Well she had admin stuff to do.) T has started coughing today as well so now we have another 2 weeks of inactivity to look forward to.

I had intended starting on making some cards with the Hunkadory toppers Lyn bought me for Christmas but ended up sorting out this years Christmas cards, taking them apart and boxing them up ready for next year. So all my Christmas craft stuff is now packed away.

The trouble is I have a few letters to write letting people know about Jon and that is a job I keep putting off. Until I have got that out of the way I won't start on the cards. Still they won't write themselves I suppose.

Ann, Luke is having a good laugh its priceless to see him , I have managed to do some cards using the new dies I got in the sales, made quite a few , and was trying to take pics but the lighting was not good, it was very dark out side and the new roof didnt help either, but it was lovely to be able to sit in a warm conservatory and work ....
I have a a lot of diecut shapes in fact too many if any one would like some P.M. me and I will sort some out...I will have a go at trying the pics again and send them to you.

Can get to Gloucester, although not on a regular basis. Don't find Gloucester city centre particularly attractive, so prefer Hereford.

I assume you are unable to get to Gloucester June?

June Report 15 Dec 2014 23:13

I used to live in Lincolnshire and there were several card shops who held regular cardmaking courses, but since I've moved here there seems to be a severe lack of them.

June Report 15 Dec 2014 23:12

I'm already a cardmaker, but would like to socialise with and learn more from craft clubs etc, although I'm not prepared to travel out of the FOD area.

I lived in Lydney in the 70s and I don't think you will find a craft shop in any of the Forest towns. Just Hobbycraft in Gloucester and Cheltenham and the little craft shop I mentioned.

Is it card making in general you are looking for or are you already a card maker and want to improve? Have you looked on line there are a lot of you tube videos.

I now live between Gloucester and Cheltenham.

June Report 14 Dec 2014 10:36

Hi, live in. FOD and the only source seems to be Hobbycraft as the small. Shop in Monmouth has stopped selling supplies. Haven't been able to find anywhere local that holds classes.

AnninGlos Report 11 Dec 2014 22:09

Hi June, I haven't heard of any except there is a small craft shop in Gloucester, Near the old Regal cinema, that holds some sort of classes.

Are you in this area then? I thought I was the only one. If you don't want to say where you are PM me. I don't know if Jude knows of anything she is sort of in the area.

June

June Report 11 Dec 2014 17:38

Does anyone know of anywhere in the Forest of Dean that holds cardmaking classes, etc?

Fascinating Von, It looked like a really interesting day, albeit messy! :-D

I keep thinking how much Jude would have loved that. Not sure if she looks in, hope so but she is very busy these days. I might PM her to ask her to look at the website.

Thanks for sharing it Von....... And for reviving the thread. :-D :-D
