Hi Bob, just wondering how on here play guitar, like yourself I played in the 60's in Liverpool, I still play know playing the good ole Rock'n'Roll.

its difficult these days, haven't kept in practice, too much arthritis in the knuckles
but trying to get something out of the memory box.......
still have my Hofner President, from 1961.paid 29 1/2 guineas for it then.....put a Framus II fingerplate pickup on it.......
I had a Futurama II in the late 60's/70's also, but swapped that and my Bird amp for a Austin 1100 engine and gearbox in 1975 seemed like a good idea at the time, but they would be worth a bomb these days........

Hi Bob, Hofner president good guitar, I had a an Antoria in the early days, nowadays I use a Telecaster, Strat and a Les Paul, with Fender Amps, we play Buddy Holly, Beatles, Elvis, Chuck Berry as well as the Merseybeat stuff.

Hi Bob, we were lucky enough to be part of the Merseybeat era and gigged with all the top bands, we had great fun in those days, I agree about pedals in those days it was plug in and play, nowadays there are that many pedals a guitar sometimes dosent sound like a guitar.

I play the Guitar . I have have a Fender Strat & Vox Amp .
I Luv the Merseybeat Era . Great Fan of the Beatles , Searchers ,Merseybeats, Swinging Blue Jeans to name a few . I'M also stuck In the Sixties time warp.
Like to play . Shadows , Some Of Cliffs like Move it . Eddie Cochran , Buddy Holly Roy Orbison , Elvis, Ricky Nelson , Carl Perkins ,Chuck Berry , Gerry Lee Lewis . and loads and loads of Others .

Its good that you still have a go . I find some songs very Inspiring ,so I try them out .

But I do know what you mean about not been able to remember .
Some song I can only remember a couple of lines . So I just warble on and on ;-)

PS .
I have Hank Marvins latest CD . Called Hank .
Your right about his new sound .
But there are quite a few tunes I like very much so .
Like a very good version of " A taste of honey "
