Hi, I'm back ,...., well sort of! At last I have got a tablet,( after a lot of encouragement from my son,). Have been ra5her busy recentl
So not reading as much as I used to, However, have been reading some non fiction books.. Bought a new copy of "Two Nations - 1846. ,.abou!t the corn laws, the potato famine and Robert Peel. + a lot of other things happening at the time. Will come in handy when looking at what my ancestors were doing around that time, Have also just got a paperback from a charity shop about the mining ice age, 8t includes info on " the year with no summer" and its impact on the world. At the moment I am reading a Paul Lawrence book called The Sweet Smell of Death. A who run it set in the time of Charles the second.
Have just had a cataract removed from my left eye, Waiting for the right one to be done. Vision a bit blur4ed at the moment , - so I'm using that fact, together with my inexperience with a Tablet or even a mobile phone or a digital camera, as an excuse with the sloppiness of this posting. Not sure if I will be able to get to the Library to get any of the books listed this time, but if not I will do a review on one of the library books I have already got.
By the way Birmingham Libraries are buying fewer books and newspapers now, It seems that some branches will not be getting any fiction printed you blushed in the last twelve months, So if any books recommended are new releases, I won't be able to get them, Am hoping though to get Phillipa Gregory's latest offering, about Katherine Parr.

Hope to do better in future.

Thanks Glossie Ann.

Pammy, I will look out for that one about Molly, it does sound as though I would like it. I do read quite a lot of books that have recipes in them as well.
