Hi all

Anyone do engraving on glass I am just learning

Any advice would be welcome

My mother used to do glass engraving. She started off using an electric tool but as she had little hands she found it too heavy so she went on to a hand one, which she could control more easily.
The only tip I remember is to buy cheap glasses from charity shops to try things out on.

Ah we used to have Sue from Somerset on here, she did some beautiful engraving but not seen her around for many years now.

do let us know how you get on. Are you going to classes?

Not going to classes just doing it at home

Did some funny deers and snowmen on some glasses for Christmas but want to try something better now

Do you engrave freehand or use a stencil or something.

When I was at work, we used to save those dud 500/1000 watt lamps for an engraving enthusiast!
