I am trying to find any of the vekemans family from Liverpool. I was adopted in 1957. I would be very grateful for any help.

Hi, I know this post is from 2011. But did you manage to get any luck in finding information? Theres a maiden name Jones from the Vekemans family.

Pauline has only posted once, and is clearly not a regular visitor to the GR boards.
In any case, after so long, she will not be looking here for replies.

Also, I've just checked, and Pauline is no longer a member of GR.
I'm afraid there's no way you can contact her.

Do you have a personal interest in the Vekemans family? Is there anything we can help you with?

There are no Vekemans on the current ER for Liverpool, nor in the BT phonebook.

The birth you mention does look as if it's Pauline's.
Registration with the Adoption Contact Register would be the next step for anyone hoping to find their birth family.

The only Vekemans / Jones marriage I can see was in 1941 in Liverpool.
But I can't see any later records for either spouse.

A son was born in Liverpool in 1942.
Also other children in 1944 and 1950.

The child in June qr 1944 is also listed as Vekeman - without the S.

Perhaps the family returned to the Netherlands, where they seem to have originated.

The surname Ansloos seems to be connected too.

There are four Ansloos / Jones births in Liverpool in the 1940s, including a pair of twins - but Jones is a very common name.

I don't see any corresponding marriage.

One of those children seems to have also married a Jones, and may have been living in Wales in 2006.

One has the same first name as the Vekemans wife.

Hello,

I was searching another surname and this surname came up as a "similar" word. & then i saw this post. I'm not any relation to the Vekemans but usually if I see old posts and can help with even my little of knowledge, then i know it stands a chance of getting answers with people like yourselves who have ALOT of knowledge.

Family research has come along way, even since 2011 so i'm hoping some old posts can be helped now with information that is available now that might not of been available before. :-)

Thank you so much for your responses, I will try and reach out to Pauline and let her know of your replies. Amazing!
