John Report 3 Aug 2011 14:54

The above are my father and aunt (Vera) who lived together in Oakhill Road, Liverpool till my father died in. Aunt Vera registered his death in West Derby in 1978.

Would like to track down any relations/children of Aunt Vera in Liverpool. She married Robert W Odlin in 1940 and William J Thompson in June 1965. I understand she had a daughter called Margot and two sons.

Would appreciate any and all pointers.

Thanks

John Taylor :-)

I hope you've checked on here in search trees.............

Flick Report 3 Aug 2011 15:19

Some info............for reference

Name: Robert W Odlin
Spouse Surname: Tayler
Date of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar 1940
Registration district: Bootle
Inferred County: Lancashire, Cumberland
Volume Number: 8b
Page Number: 666
Find Spouse: Vera E Taylor

So we have the correct name for the lady

BTW......Bootle reg'n district has no connection with Bootle, nr Liverpool.

It's in the north of Lancs, near the Cumberland border

Have you tried looking on freebmd for any possible children of the above marriage?

You certainly should.................

Flick

Flick Report 3 Aug 2011 15:25

This one isn't on freebmd..........

Name: Anthony P J Odlin
Mother's Maiden Surname: Taylor
Date of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar 1943
Registration district: Liverpool North
Inferred County: Lancashire
Volume Number: 8b
Page Number: 847

Not breaching any GR rules...........because............

Name: Anthony P Odlin
Birth Date: abt 1943
Date of Registration: Apr-May-Jun 1956
Age at Death: 13
Registration district: Liverpool South
Inferred County: Lancashire
Volume: 10d
Page: 509

There is an entry under Liverpool Catholic burials for Anthony Peter Odlin.....my sub doesn't cover those records.

Are you the GR member named John who has Anthony in his GR tree?

If not...............contact him

If you are, I'm puzzled by your request...........

Ummm

Yes it apears you know about Anthony already. If she remarried in 1965 would she have been too old to have anymore children by then?

Hi Johnny,
From your posting, it sounds as if you are my cousin.
Just checking that your mum was Mary Mitchell and your sister Little Vera.
If so, I can let you have all the information you may want.
Regards,
Margaret Stewart
