hi im trying to trace my mums family her mum was called margerate dillon (nee nixon) as far as im aware they last lived in the wythenshaw area of manchester maggie as she was known as married patrick dillon and they had 5 children my mum doesnt know much about her family so im trying to find out all i can im sure my nana maggie had at least 1 brother called bill ive seen a picture of him wearing an eye patch if anyone can help it would be very much appriciated :-) |

Just to add - I have checked for Margaret Nixon births in Manchester after 1900, and there are three. And of course she might have been born elsewhere. So you might need the marriage cert to ascertain her age and father's details, unless your mother knows her grandparents' names.. |
