	I'm trying to find a great aunt uncle?? Born to a Edith Slater nee ratcliffe possible given up for adoption born around the 1940s I know I haven't much to go on but any info would be of help

	Start by looking for the birth registration...... http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ I found it easily.........so you should be able to Then look in 'search all trees' Add yourself to the national adoption contact register

	I have done that ... found one born 1946 ,,, but where to go from there ? This matches what I'm thinking surname Slater mother maiden ratcliffe, but where do I go from here?
