I found mention of the birth of M. Boon in the 50's the Parent of whom was married for some years to an Aunt in 1931. They lived in Greenwich. My Aunt may have died in the 1940 's or there could have been a Divorce. They lived I believe in Berners Street Greenwich . My Aunt's maiden name was Driscoll. Her husband M. Boon senior 's birthday was 13 Nov 1909c and he married a lady whose name was Hilda. I believe senior died c1982. I believe they moved from Greenwich to Woolwich. I wonder if anyone has any info about the family? Bunny k

Bunny

Might I suggest that you delete all the info you have added under 'researching', and replace it with just the surnames of the family lines

It is good that you have thanked people for help, but seeing all that in conjunction with every post you add is a bit of a distraction

Thanks for the various responses. My Aunt's name was Dorothy Rose Driscoll. NOT Rosemary.I know about her daughter who may well be alive and I don't want to upset her daughter or indeed Martin Boon Jnr. Who born in 1953 to Hilda and Martin will almost certainly be alive and hopefully well! "Dolly " may well have married Mr Shapcott I have no idea. Iwas just curious about the offspring of Martin and Hilda having come across his name etc quite by chance. I met very few of the family and my limited knowledge came from my Mother.
Sorry Reggie for making life difficult. I am new to an I Pad and once cancelled helpers hard work by mistake.Bunny K

I realise her middle name was Rose and not Rosemary........having said that, there is only one birth registered for a Dorothy R Driscoll that fits..

PricklyHolly I agree with you about the Dorothy marr. To Wilfred must have been my Aunt "Dolly" perhaps whoever registered her death thought Rosemary was the middle name. I think it possible that after the death of Wilfred she may have moved to be near Audrey her daughter in Torbay. I've learnt some things I didn't know and confirmed some others. Reading all the responses always proves exciting to me thanks everyone who responded .,I shall ask one of my daughters for help in deleting old research stuff. O.k.Reggie?? Bunny k

To delete what is in your researching box

Click on account at the top of the screen and scroll down the page and you can then delete what is not needed

BunnyK

BunnyK Report 27 Jun 2013 15:57

Sorry Jax I don't have 'account' at the top of screen or indeed anywhere else. I have DELETE of course but I can't see how to just delete information no longer required. I have taken photographs of all the new information. We have failed on numerous occasions to attach photos to the relevant trees . Following the instruction for P C' and laptops. We get so far and no further. When we first tried we managed to get some attached but we have all tried since with little success. Perhaps eventually Genesreunited might offer instructions for IPads!
Your suggestion had a Virus warning attached . "Please Wait". Bunny k

At the top of the screen,,,not the page

It is on the line where your name is and sign out

or you can hover the curser over your profile pic then click on update profile

My avatar is meant to be funny not to be taken seriously

Edit - I have changed it now

' Account' is at the utmost top edge of the whole screen............NOT just the message board

It's in the line ABOVE the line which includes the word Community................

You don't need to take photographs of info posted on the message boards...........just don't delete anything, and it will stay here...............

Deleting threads on which info has been posted is a bad idea............................it can easily lead to duplication of effort by the helpers
