Rather a shame. Looks like the daughter married a Mr. Douglas and she died in 2012. If you order her death certificate, you will get the address of the informant who may be a child of hers i.e. a Grandchild of Norman's mother.

Have you bought her death certificate to see who the informant was?

She re-married in 1924 but as that was the Mitchell marriage presumably you would know if Norman had siblings / half siblings from that marriage.

The divorce papers will give details of any children that she had with William Duff.

Using the advanced search options on Scotlandspeople, it looks like a possible birth for a daughter in Leith in 1928.

It ties in with the small amount of info we have. We are trying to find out if Bessie had any more children, we have looked on the scottish site but again, can't find any info.

That's probably him Rose as no obvious death coming up on SP.

There's a Norman Mitchell with that date of birth who died in 1995 in England.

Looks like William divorced her as the child was probably not fathered by him.

Bit of a long shot. But if his mother is listed on the birth registration as Simkins or Duff then perhaps she was a married woman with Duff as her maiden surname. Try looking on Scotlandspeople for a marriage.

I'm looking for relatives of Norman DUFF who also may be know as Norman ADKINS DUFF or Norman MITCHELL.

He was born on 11/01/1920 at a Hospice at 219 The High Street EDINBURGH.

His mother was called Bessie Simkins or Duff. She lived at Roxburgh Place Edinburgh.

If anyone can help with any information at all regarding Norman or his family it would be much appreciated.
