How far have you looked for her records

Her birth should be on FreeBMD

You may need to get her birth cert to see her mums name.

Was she adopted later? her cert ref doesnt indicate it

I know she was adopted at birth although I do know her birth mother's name but not her adopted name. I believe she might know her birth name(and that she was adopted therefore) so just a chance she might look at this board...

Unlikely she will look at this board as she doesnt seem to be a member

What about her mums name .have you checked that on search trees

Unless she is a GR member, she isn't likely to 'look at this board', or any other on here

If you are directly related put your details on the national adoption contact register.

If she knows that she was adopted, and has any interest in tracing birth family, she may have done the same

It would have helpeed if you said from the start that she had been adopted
