Hello

We are looking for relatives of Florence Scott who was born in May 1918 in Wetwang, Driffield.

After moving away to Liverpool she lost contact with her siblings and extended family. We are particularly keen to contact any living descendants of her siblings, Mary, Tom, Mabel, Freda, Hilda and Harry Oswald Scott. There were 9 children in all however we do not know the other names.

Flo told us she was the youngest of nine, her parents were Harry Scott and Sarah Jane Wardell.

I have found the information regarding George Scott etc, but talking to Florences' children they do not know of any George Scott in the family so are suspicious that she was still married to Harry Scott who has now changed his name for some reason. I have not found the birth of a George Scott in Tibthorpe and in the census it says they have been married for the amount of time Sarah and Harry would have been so can only assume it's an error? or a lie?

The marriage and death records for her possible siblings are interesting and could be a starting point for finding their children.

Mary Wardell Scott on the 1901 census, appears as Mary Wardell on the 1911.

She is a servant with the Beal family.

I entered "Scott" in the surname box and "Wardell" in the Spouse/Mother surname box.

Date range........1911----1925

And found Herbert and Florence.

Oh yes, I have looked on there but not that way, I'm a novice! Do you have any tips on where t go from here? We want to contact descendants on behalf of my father in law. Would it be best to obtain death certificates and then contact the informants that way?

There is a tree on Ancestry that has the Freda Scott/Ernest A Bishop marriage I posted.

It states that 6 children were born to the marriage.

3 are private and the other 3 are.........

Ernest I Bishop 1922 – (Bridlington, Yorkshire)

Thank you, I hope I have the right family. The Tom I have was born in Wetwang 1900. I think this Tom was also born same year and place. Fingers crossed!
