Pat has repeated her question on another thread - I've asked her to stick to this one in the hopes more info will be provided and helpers can help her

(The other thread is as below, but says nothing more than the one here.

There is only one Janet R Appleby birth showing on free bmd from 1920 to 1983 (1952 in Durham East)

She might have her tree on here (different place of birth) - suggest you try to contact her.

Or if Appleby is her married surname, there are two marriages listed on Ancestry, of women named Janet R to men called Appleby:

Westminster 1965, and Barnsley 1977.

I wonder whether Pat has found members of her family in trees at this site owned by those two people.

If that is the case, Pat, the best way to try to reach them is to click on the 'Find out more' button next to their name in the tree search results.

The chance of them seeing a message posted on this board is, well, zero.

In the other thread greyghost linked to above, the name given is

Janet R Appleyard ...

There doesn't seem to be a Janet R Appleyard born in England/Wales at least.

Sorry the surname is Appleyard not Appleby. :-S

There is a marriage for a Janet R xxxxx to a Mr Appleyard in Scunthorpe district in 1989.
They were showing on 192.com in Doncaster from 2002 to 2006.

Could you say where you got the names of Janet and Ruth from, please?
