Welcome to the boards Suzanne.

Have you added your name to the Adoption Contact Register ? You can find out about it here:-

https://www.gov.uk/adoption-records/the-adoption-contact-register

If you add your name to the register and if at some point your sister decides to look for her birth family and she adds her name then you will be able to be put in contact with each other. Anything is worth a try.

Make sure you have put Corrina's birthname in a tree on here so if she searches for it she can message you, keep your email address updated with GR if you change it. You can also put mother's name, with her permission.

You could also add a postem on the birth entry for Corrina on freebmd.org.uk giving a contact email.

You could email [email protected] and ask if they hold the 1970s electoral rolls. As you have an address, you can check the names of who was live here.
Unless you can visit yourself, they may make a charge.

Assuming the Lovedays were living there, you might be able to trace them forward. Do bear in mind that Carole Loveday might be a social worker involved in the adoption & not Corrine or her adoptive mother.

The link Kath gave included this phrase, with a further link
‘You can also apply to make contact with an adopted person through an approved intermediary agency.’. There will be a fee.

There are several Loveday entries under Kent in the phone book. You could write (don’t phone!) to each of them to ask if they have any knowledge. Enclose a SAE to encourage a reply.

There are also a couple of names & addresses here

PM sent advising of replies.
