Looking for brother born Aug. 27/54

Named Frederick by birth mother, born in Toronto, adopted 195/55 by an English couple. Adoptive father born 1920, mother 1921. Married 1947, came to Canada 1948. Adoptive mother had done office & factory work prior to marriage. Adoptive father worked in the clothing industry in Canada & returned to England to become a partner in a clothing company. Family was looking to purchase a house in England.

There is a possibility the adoptive parents may have divorced, & that my brother may have remained in Canada with his adoptive mother, but that information is based on speculation only & not solid facts.

He may not know he's adopted...I don't wish to disrupt his life but would love to know what happened to him, as would our 89-year aunt before she dies. Our birth mother is deceased. I've been searching for a very long time & have had more than a few false leads. If you think this is you, please contact me. If this sounds like someone you know, please let him know.

Presumably you’ve already gone down this route?

Welcome to the boards, Susan .

Do you know when the adoptive father returned to the UK?
