Thankyou everyone for your help and advice. I have replied to the people that sent PM's and will always be grateful for the time everyone has spent on my behalf. I am now in touch with my Uncle and have been able to speak with him. Many many thanks. Very much appreciated x

Many thanks everyone and for your PM's. I really hadn't expected anything this quickly. Been a while since I've done any research on my tree and I'm really rusty.
All your efforts are very much appreciated

Many thanks for your efforts everyone. It really is very much appreciated.
I don't remember ever meeting him and i haven't a clue who he married or where I'm afraid. All i know is from a letter he wrote to my Mum in 1983.
His parents were Charles and Irene Hall (nee Shimmin) and he has several older siblings - I'm not sure if he, or his brother Gerald was the youngest. He was probably born in the West Country.
He did live and work in London for several years at the beginning of the 70's he was a secondary school teacher, then progressed to Deputy Principle of a residential college for adults and divorced around 1979. He was teaching in the Fulham area at that time and when mum got his letter in 1983 he was Community Education Co-ordinator in Chelsea.

Looking for my uncle. He was born in the 1940's and the last address I have for him is in 1983 in London. Really would appreciate anyone's help in trying to locate him. Unfortunately I have sad news for him about a sibling death and would like to be able to offer him an opportunity to attend the funeral (should he wish to). None of the phone numbers family have are correct and it appears no one has a current address. I know this is a long shot but I just don't know where else to try now. He does have a son Patrick born first half of the 1970's.
keeping my fingers crossed and many many thanks for taking the time to read this
