There's a birth in 1964 in Islington has strong possibilities. This is the same district where Barbara married in 1967.

You already know about the sister born in 1962 from previous threads.

I found her death under Barbara Ann and Barbara Lillian Hogan.

Seems likely the sister you are looking for was born before the 1967 marriage.

So Barbara married a Hogan in 1967 and had 3 sons. Not seeing any Hogan/Fayers for a girl in the 70s.

Carol Report 14 Mar 2007 17:07
Hello i am looking for the family of Russell Fayers his wife is Barbara Fayers they lived at 64 fortin way south ockendan Essex. I was adopted in 1959 i have more information on this family but would like to keep it private at this time i would love to hear from anybody that could give me just a little bit of information on this family. regards carol

Question is, which Barbara? Seems more likely it was the daughter seeing as she mentions a birth in the 70s. Barbara senior would have been in her late 40s then.

That 2007 post could be the same person as the present poster?

Tree search shows 2 people have the same two entered birth details for Barbara L

Barbara married under the surname =Baston.in 1941,to F R Fayers.

B L Baston bn 1922 St Pancras.

Appear in London electorals,,1947--1950---1964--1965.

Edit,

I think there maybe is a mix-up regarding the right Barbara as birth mothers details.? the above are the grandparents.

""" my grandad was Russell fredrick Fayers he was an Aircraft Engineer but he died in 1997"""

By implication, it sounds as if you were also adopted. Are you aware of this site?
https://www.gov.uk/adoption-records/the-adoption-contact-register

There are further links on the above relating to Intermediary Agencies. They’d be allowed to access her file & be told her adoptive name. They’d try to trace her &, if successful, out her in contact with you. It would be her decision.

Which of the two surnames you’ve given was your birth mother’s maiden name?

If she was unmarried when she gave birth, the entry would usually be listed as
Mother’s Maiden name - child’s given name - mother’s maiden name

Otherwise it would be
Father’s surname- child’s given name- mother’s maiden name.
