The mother is probably alive, so discretion is needed

Was Cath unmarried at the time of the birth or was she using her husband's surname?

Everyone is busy looking for the birth of a David where his mother's maiden name is the same as his surname. If Cath was married, her maiden name wouldn't be Wheeler/Whelan

There are 3 David Whelan births between 1967 and 1969 where the mother's maiden name is also Whelan, but none of them are in the Wolverhampton area. Do you have any real reason to think he was born in that area?

As you aren't even sure of the surname, what is your connection?

His birth should be on freebmd

However his mums full name would only be on the cert

Not seeing either name though that would fit your enquiry

Hi I am looking for a David Wheeler or Whelan, born around 1970 and probably in the Wolverhampton area. His mother would have been Cath Wheeler or Whelan.
