Does the 1939 register show details of a living person? I thought living person details were closed? but I have just found full details of a living relative on FMP 1939 register.

It's not supposed to but i've seen it mentioned on here that people have found living relatives listed.

Human error means there will always be mistakes when digitizing so many documents.

My uncle who is 90 and still going strong is also on the register.

Two of my OH's cousins are 'open' records - both are alive and kicking. In fact, one of them is our next-door neighbour

In both cases, there are closed records for family members who have been dead for many years, so it's obvious the redaction was applied to the wrong child in each case

On the transcription page you will see the option to "Close record", that takes you to a form to submit info, if you wish.
