Searching for Joan...... (surname unknown) believed born in Hetton circa 1947-1949 but certainly brought up in Hetton. and as far as I know, was still living there with her parents in 1966/1967. Her Father retired early due to, I believe, Emphesema and she had a Brother in the army stationed at Aldershot married to an asian lady. Also had an Aunt living in W. London Ealing/Acton area.
If anyone has any knowledge of Joan I'd be pleased to hear from you.

Have you tried Freebmd to see if you can see her possible birth

Hutton le Hole (note spelling) is in Ryedale reg district.

There were nine births of girls called Joan registered 1947-49 in Ryedale district.
Impossible to say if any of them were in Hutton le Hole specifically.

Do you know if she has a middle name?
Is the brother older or younger?

But there is also a Hetton le hole in Sunderland district ? , many more Joans listed there so really need more info to be able to help.

There is also a place called Hetton in North Yorkshire in the Craven district. You need to be sure which place she was living before starting to search for her.

Not sure it would be appropriate to give info about a female to a male, especially as his info is so vague - and, in any case, NOT without her pemission. GDPR

Hutton le Hole is not Hetton le Hole. Different counties

As I'd never heard of Hetton le Hole I assumed (as one should never do!) that Quentin had spelled the name wrongly.

Do you have any addresses for these people? It might be possible to look at old electoral rolls and figure out surnames.
