It's a shame your Mum can't remember his birthdate.
You might now need to get hold of his birth certificate through the GRO to confirm his birthdate.
This would help for looking for possible deaths.

If you are in the UK and have a library card you might be able to access Ancestry for free through the library website. This is where I found the marriage and possible death.

That's fine. don't forget we were all beginner once.

There is a Peter S Allen who married in St Albans in 1988 and a Peter Allan who died in Watford in 2006.
I'll pm (private message ) you with the date of birth.

Hi Thank you so much for your help,

I've now got some more information from my mum and found a definite birth record for my uncle, he was registered at Peter S Allen born 1949 in Hatfield Hertfordshire.

Sorry for the confusion, mum always knew him as little Stevie / Steve

I'll amend my original post now.

Sorry about the mistakes, I'm a total beginner to this :-)

Thank you for your messages, I'm going to ask my mum for more information to get an exact year of birth then go from there.

The spelling is crucial - OP says his name is SteVen

;-) ;-) ;-)

Angela
It is highly unlikely that anyone knowing Stephen would actually come across your post.

Have you checked to see if he married or even sadly, died?

Start by finding accurate birth year info

As your mother is his sister, you will know what MMN to look for

Look for his name in 'search all member trees'

Please does anyone have any information as to the whereabouts of my uncle Peter Steven / Stephen Allen.

He was born in 1949 in Hatfield Hertfordshire.

I have been told he would have lived in Redbridge for a time with a lady called Mrs Foster and a Mr Sharman.

I believe he joined the Navy when in his teens, this would have been in the 1960's I believe.

His sister thinks about him a lot and would love to know how he is (Known to his family as Steven).

If anybody has any information as to how he is / where he is and if Peter S would like to get in touch with us please do message us.

Thank you <3
