i am trying to find some information on a relation of my late mother, her name is Dorothy Jordon born around 1932 and her father's name was Arthur Jordon who was born in 1894 thank you Jean

i know some people spell it Jordon and some spell it Jordan, i saw that info on the BMD and they are the correct details .My mother Cynthia Porter was sent up north before the 1939 census, Arthur Jordon was my step grandfather
When i started to research my family, the info show that Arthur Jordon who was born in Islington, London and that he was the father of Dorothy Jordon he married my nan Marjorie Porter in Islington London in 1931

Where did the name 'Dorothy' appear? Do you have any documents?

As stated previously, in 1939 there is NO child in the household

Maybe Dorothy was also sent away like Cynthia was.

That doesn’t explain the absence of any birth info

Cynthia was 14 in 1939

After many pm,s we think the info is on ancestry trees that hasn’t been verified for the right family

Dorothy is the daughter of Percy and Elizabeth nee Porter :-)
