I am searching for any relatives of the late John Potts, born 1921 in Hillhead, Glasgow, son of John Potts and Mary Kilpatrick (nee Davis). grandson of Andrew Potts and Isabella McGowan.

I believe he could be my birth father.

That may give a better connection

Is this his death? I assume you already use SP, as you know his birth, parents, and grandparents.

It's impossible to know if he had any siblings, without buying birth certs, as on SP you can't use mother's maiden name as a search term for births after 1854.

There were 5 other Potts births in Hillhead alone, 1915-25, though they can't all be the same family.
Their possible deaths, assuming they died in Scotland, don't give mmn, unfortunately.

(Sarah Fleming Potts 1915, was definitely not a sibling, according to a well-documented tree on Ancestry.)


ADDED:

There were 6 marriages 1937-1974, of men called John Potts with no middle name, in various parts of Glasgow alone - although none in Hillhead.
However, without spending credits on SP, or buying marriage certs, there's no way to know if any of them might have been your possible father.

And of course, IF he did marry, it wasn't necessarily in Glasgow, or even in Scotland.

That 1974 death is probably correct.

You said that his mother was Mary Kilpatrick (nee DAVIS).

However, his birth cert says his mother was Mary Kilpatrick Potts, nee DAVIES (same spelling as in the death record.)

But interestingly, on her 1920 marriage cert, she's Mary Agnes Kilpatrick, 19, SPINSTER.
Daughter of James Kilpatrick and Margaret Kilpatrick, nee Curran (deceased).

Both the marriage and birth certs give the address 42 Strathcona Drive.
