Today the death certificate came from Scotland and it was the person. So thank you for your help. He married a Millicent Rose Barnett. I have now traced their marriage and her birth and death all in Kent, England. I also found that she had previously been married and some early searches is showing her first husband died during WWII service.

Virginia Report 20 Nov 2023 16:55

I ordered the death certificate off Scotland People on Saturday, have today, Monday, got an email to say it had been despatched.

greyghost I have already ordered that 2010 death certificate it is no the same person as the date of birth is different.

Virginia Report 18 Nov 2023 22:06

66 Peppercroft Streeet, Gravesend, Kent was the address his parents lived at so it seems that this is the person. I will look at Scotland People.

It's impossible to say if he married or not - at least not from online marriage records..

Edward Charles (or C) Taylor isn't an unusual name.

The death cert might give some clues, such as the informant's name.
You can buy a copy for £12 via Scotlands People.

Not showing with that birth date on the 1939 register - if already in the Forces he wouldn't show.

The Sutton, Surrey one is probably the Wandsworth RD I posted earlier

Not seeing a probate record for this one up to 2014

there are countless marriages for an Edward c Taylor from 1935 onwards

The above is my great uncle. I do not know whether he is still alive or not.

He was born 18 November 1919 in Gravesend, Kent, England. His parents where Joseph John Taylor (formerly Joseph John Kemp) and Thirza Elizabeth Howell.

If anyone knows anything I would be grateful. Information I am looking for did Edward marry. If he did, who did he marry, where and date. If he has passed away when did he pass and where.
