She didn't have any others in the 1911 census:-

1 child born to the marriage and still living. This must be Dorothy (or Emily Dorothy).

On the image her surname has been written as Gooch and then rubbed out and King written instead.

I can't find any King births after 1911 with mother's maiden name Gooch.

thankyou guys for all your help bless ya ,I will check this out <3

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 8 Sep 2013 12:40

As the Walsingham birth has been ruled out, its probable that they didn't have any children together.

angela Report 8 Sep 2013 12:54

I have found the birth of walter 1916 so possibly james never saw his son ,but im 99% sure he is my great grandmother son as a walter was spoken about many yrs ago ,so thankyou guys for all your help xx

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 8 Sep 2013 13:00

If you 'are' considering the Walsingham birth, to be sure order the BC for £9.25 from

TBH, he is probably the son of Helen M Gooch and Walter W King. They could be relatives of yours, but Walter 1916 is unlikely to be your grt grandmother's son

angela Report 8 Sep 2013 13:34

ok thanks I will do that xx
