Porkie_Pie

Porkie_Pie Report 5 Jan 2014 11:02

The first Boer war was from the 16 December 1880 until 23 March 1881 the second war was from 11 October 1899 until 31 May 1902

As GB said Google would find the answer to many questions and is always worth a try before asking for help on GR

If Kathleen is right, then this isn't likely to be your James. I didn't find anything under Thompsett:

Many Thanks Kath .Gliter Baby Roy and Kucinta , for your info .i realy couldnt find him .in the 1891 census ,Julia and James that Kath found in 1901 census were my Great Grand Parents .
James Parents were George Tomsett (Born 1822 Laughton Sussex Obadiah Tomsett , was using the name George Osborn From 1863 -1871 my Great Grandad and his brother Obed were registered Osbourn by 1881 using Tomsett ) James mother was Emma Tomsett Nee Bristow ,although no proof of marriage any place ,
James had a Brother called Henry Thomsett born 1877 Preston sussex so the Henry in the 1891 Census is abit old to be him so maybe it was another relation .but thank you im certain this is my James as it seem so .and i cant find him any place .thank you all for your help . <3
