If your mother is still alive she can order the records for free.

World War Two army records are not online. They are still with the MOD.

Have a look here:-

They cost around £30 and can take quite some time to receive (up to a year).

My Father was in the Royal Engineers serving in India and Burma 1942 to 1945. He was from Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire. I haven't got a number for him. Can anyone help. Many thanks Barbara.
