Does anyone have a connection with Harry Lowther born in 1897 in Plumstead who was killed in action 8th November 1917 he was in the Royal Horse Artillery. I would like to know more please.

If you use the search facility at the top right of the screen and look under "search all member trees" there is someone called Ron who has Harry in his tree. You could contact him direct to see if he has any information.

Thanks for the reply. I punched Harry lost her into ron Jarvis tree and it came up blank. Is the the right ron please.

Click the Search top right as Kathleen instructed,,,,then look down the list and click on---Search all Members Trees,,,,,a box will appear,,,,,enter Harry Lowther and 1897 in the year box,,,,,,,then to make a connection to Ron click on his name to the far right,,,,,depending on his activity to the site you will get a reply.it will come in the form of a purple envelope under the Messages across th top of the screen,,,,,

Thank everyone for their replies. How do you find out that they left their effects. I would like to know how I can get a photo of Harry but will trace the rest of the family.

You can search and for £10 order a copy of his Will on https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/#soldiers
Searching is free.

A date-base has recently been released on Ancestry called
Army Registers of Soldiers' Effects, 1901-1929. PatinCyprus posted the transcription.

'Effects' is probably misleading. The image shows the amount of pay due to his next of kin.
His father Arthur S Lowther was sent £9 19 8d on 3 Mar 1918 and a further £14 10s on 1 Jan 1920 (might be 7 Jan 1920)

If a photo still exists, it might be with another descendent. Try searching all members trees for the names of his siblings.
