Member Since: December 2004 Posts: 3 Send Message	My mother died in 1983. Shortly before her death there was some coverage of a Naval wreck on TV. I took very little notice of this at the time. I am not sure but I think a submarine sunk during WW1 was the subject covered, she was very interested because her uncle was lost on this ship. I have tried searching the names of her uncles on GR military records with no success. Can anyone suggest the best way to research this ?

	hi Angela try here http://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead.aspx also his service records might have been destroyed in 1940 http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/pathways/firstworldwar/service_records/sr_soldiers.htm if you find him on the cwgc site put his name and service number on here as we can look for his records on find my past, if they servived
