Can anyone help? Stanley Frank Chalke sometimes known as Frank Stanley Chalke born 1908 volunteered in about 1926, I think he was possibly in royal artillery. He died 1977. Can't find anything on military records as he enlisted between the wars, but he must have fought during WW2.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

All service records after 1920 are still with MOD and not online.

It costs £30 to get the records and there may be a long wait. Hers's the link to help you.

Mr Vine stated that Detectives Dyas and Cooper were patrolling Victoria-road, Surbiton the night of January 19th when the accused men standing near the gate of Messrs - Moon’s premises.
